What’s Actually in the Demon Slayer Complete Box Set

September 29, 2026 · admin

Demon Slayer is one of the few modern shonen series that actually ended, on purpose, at a length you can hold. Twenty-three volumes, complete, no sequel padding.

The whole story, and that matters

Koyoharu Gotouge finished Kimetsu no Yaiba at volume 23. There is no Part II, no timeskip continuation, no spin-off you need. That makes the complete box set genuinely complete, which is rarer than it sounds — most “complete” manga sets cover a portion of a series that is still running.

The complete box set is $143.98 for all twenty-three volumes: about $6.26 each against $9.99 or more for singles. Buying it volume by volume would cost around $230.

What you get

  • All twenty-three volumes in original single format, covers intact
  • A slipcase built to hold the run
  • Double-sided poster and an exclusive booklet, in the standard VIZ configuration
Check the listing before you buy anywhere. Box set contents vary between printings and between regions. What is described above is the standard US VIZ release; confirm the extras on the product page rather than assuming.

Where the anime stops and the manga carries on

This is the question most people are actually asking. The anime adapts the manga closely but is still behind it, season by season. If you have watched to the end of the most recent season and want to know what happens next, the manga is where it is.

Reading from volume one is still the better experience. The manga moves faster than the anime does, and the fights read differently on the page — Gotouge’s panel work is a large part of why the series took off.

Is it a good entry point into manga?

Yes, for three reasons. It is finished, so there is no waiting. It is short enough to read in a few weeks. And the story is self-contained — no extended universe, no required side material.

If it lands, the obvious next step is something longer in the same register. The Dark Fantasy Action shelf is where the neighbours live.

Storing a complete set

Twenty-three volumes in a slipcase runs about fourteen inches of shelf and weighs close to eight pounds. Worth checking your shelf before ordering, particularly if you intend to keep it in the box — the slipcase adds an inch and does not flex.
